How to Get Better at 1v1.LOL: Aim, Building, and Editing

1v1.LOL is a game that looks like a simple shooter and is actually a game about building. The players who win aren't the ones with the best aim, they're the ones who can build a wall, edit a window, and shoot through it before you react. If you want to get better, you need to learn the building, not just the shooting. Here's how I improved, and how you can too.

Learn to build before you learn to shoot

This is the biggest thing that separates new players from good ones. In 1v1.LOL, building is not optional. It's the core of the game. When you're in a fight, you need to build a wall to block shots, build a ramp to get high ground, and build a box to protect yourself. If you can't build, you're just a target.

Start by learning the basic builds: the wall, the ramp, and the box. Practice building them fast. The goal is to build a wall the moment you take a shot, without thinking about it.

High ground wins fights

In 1v1.LOL, the player with the high ground has a huge advantage. From above, you can see your opponent, you can shoot down at them, and they have to build up to reach you. So the first thing you should do in a fight is build up. Get a ramp, get above your opponent, and keep the high ground.

If you lose the high ground, don't panic. Build a wall, reset, and try to take it back. The player who controls the high ground controls the fight.

Editing is the secret weapon

Building is only half the game. The other half is editing. When you build a wall, you can edit it to create a window, a door, or a gap. This lets you shoot through your own builds while staying protected. Editing is what separates the good players from the great ones.

Start by learning to edit a simple window in a wall. Then learn to edit a door. Then learn to edit a ramp. The more you can edit, the more options you have in a fight.

Pro tip: Practice your building and editing in the practice mode before you jump into real fights. Ten minutes of practice will make you better than an hour of losing.

Don't forget to aim

Building and editing are important, but you still have to hit your shots. The good news is that if you have the high ground and you're protected, aiming gets easier. You have time to line up your shot, and your opponent is scrambling to build. So build first, then aim.

And don't forget to use your shotgun. In close fights, the shotgun is the best weapon. Build a wall, edit a window, and hit them with the shotgun.

Practice the right way

The fastest way to improve is to practice the specific skills you're bad at. If you keep losing because you can't build fast, practice building. If you keep losing because you can't edit, practice editing. Don't just play games and hope to get better. Practice the skills, and the wins will come.

1v1.LOL is a game about building, editing, and aiming. Learn the building, get the high ground, and practice your edits. Do that, and you'll be winning fights you used to lose.
